Hawthorne Brown Leather Studio Sofa

The PDXoriginals Hawthorne Brown Leather Studio Sofa is one of our premier showpiece sofas. Much of the character and form of the original PDX airport benches remain, but we've updated the upholstery with gorgeous Saddle Brown, Capri leather from Oregon Leather Company. The plastic armrests have been replaced with hand selected, exotic Sapele wood, milled and finished locally. Exposed stitching brings the leather alive, and matches perfectly with the Sapele wood accents. The craftsmanship of our local, Portland-based partners is unmatched. The quality and unique style of the Studio Sofa is suitable for a variety of decor, from contemporary to mid-century modern corporate offices, lobbies, and homes. 
 
These benches were originally installed in PDX Airport in the early 1980s. Built by venerable mid century furniture maker, Chromcraft, these benches have a timeless style and durable construction built to stand the test of time. All the metal accents have been polished, and the hand selected seats have been thoroughly cleaned. Some minor nicks and wear may appear on the accents, but these are in excellent condition considering age and frequent use.
